Its special features include an interdisciplinary project course, tutorials, internships, an interdisciplinary summer school in Eastern Europe, intensive language instruction, and workshops acquainting students with possible work opportunities relating to Eastern Europe.

The aim of our four-semester interdisciplinary M.A. Honours Programme in East European Studies is to provide specialized, regionally focused knowledge on Central, South-Eastern and Eastern Europe. In Munich, the departments of History, Slavic Languages and Literatures, Political Science, European Ethnology, Jewish History and Culture and Turkish and Ottoman Studies are affiliated with the MA programme, its design and realization.
